About

Suzanne Campbell

Instructor/Coach

I began martial arts training after meeting Ken two decades ago.

I have learned a lot about Karate, taichi and Meditation through Ken, he is absorbed in all of these and it is impossible to be around him and not be affected with his passion for these arts as his profile will attest.

I enjoy the training, and passed the Invitation to Health grading for the 24, 42 and 81 step Yang form many years ago.

I also studied the Sun style forms and managed to receive a certificated grading, a few years ago.

Although we no longer are part of that particular organisation, and have not studied these for a few decades, the basic concepts of the sun style are still familiar to me, and the subtle differences within teaching and style of form have helped me in my journey, within martial arts and life in general.

I assist Ken, in the clubs with beginners, and (I have been doing this for the last 10 years on and off), and generally help others who are, where I was, a few years ago within my journey.

I have found that the  42 and 81 form has helped me to find out things about myself, as if you are not focused on what you are doing during training, you are missing the main point which is to take time for yourself and learn who you are, which allows you to take stock, of your strengths and weaknesses, ultimately providing you with the tools, time and opportunity to understand yourself more and more in each session, from the aspects of Mind Body Spirit, within the martial arts, and life in general.

I have not had the same journey as ken, not many have, we all have our own path, in as much as I have other passions, and interests, as does Ken, which are equally as important to me.  I enjoy training and as attested to above, feel better when I do train.

I take care of all the TQM (Total Quality Management), and am currently updating and re-designing the new web site for Invitation to Health, and this is it!  Finding time to train can be as difficult as we make it, however remember “If you don’t use it, you lose it”.

I wish you all who take time to read this short profile, health in all things.  Life is a journey, enjoy your journey!
